Search for people online via Pipl!
Posted on August 25th, 2008 in Web Reviews

I am pretty sure users of Google search, in some point, have at least googled their own name, just for some vanity check. (Okay I did it too..)
Well here’s a website, Pipl that let you just do that, searching for people (and yourself) online.
According to the website, Pipl’s query engine uses a ‘deep search’ method on websites which produces more results on a person’s information that you are looking for, as compared to a regular search engine. It is currently in beta development but there is some promising effort there.
I did a search on myself and most of the results came from social networking sites such as Friendster, Facebook and even Linkedin.
Try it yourself!
